Spring 2020 at Rose's Wardrobe

Take a look at what’s coming up this Spring at Rose’s Wardrobe.
SPRING BLOUSES & TROUSERS
This Spring, Rose’s Wardrobe will be introducing new designs inspired by our muses.
The new blouse, named “Lillias” after Leanne’s Great Aunt Lillias, will be available in ivory, blush pink, and blue Tencel fabric. Tencel is an eco fabric that is perfect for spring as it allows for natural breathability and has a softer more fluid feel than cotton.
Rose’s Wardrobe will also be introducing the “Patricia” trouser, named after both Emma’s Nanna and Leanne’s mum. The trousers will be available in a 100% superfine wool herringbone fabric available in a silver and dark mink - great colours to take you from Spring to Autumn and act as a staple piece in your wardrobe.
In addition to the Patricia trouser’s herringbone fabric, another fabulous herringbone will be introduced that’s woven locally in Langholm. The yarn colours are coral and lilac that give a dusty pink colour when woven together. Our new fabric will be available in our popular “Nen” skirt from our AW19 range. If you’d like to know more about how we make sure our fabric is sustainable and local, read our blog post here.
SPRING SLIPS & DRESSES
Vintage, feminine and glamorous describe our next new Spring editions. Our new slip “Virginia” and the “Ginger” Tap pant are both named after Ginger Rogers - Virginia being her birth name. Ginger Rogers was an All American dancer, actress and singer who won an Academy Award for her performance in the 1940’s Kitty Foyle. Rogers’ is best remembered for her performances during the 1930’s RKOs musical films. As part of her dancing career, Rogers’ was known for her talents as a tap dancer. When Rose’s Wardrobe asked for new ideas on Instagram, one of many online friends suggested “The Ginger Tap pant” as homage to Ginger Rogers’ tap dancing talents.
Both the new slip and pant will be available in black and white organic bamboo silk to recreate a feeling of vintage luxury. Rose’s Wardrobe strive to use the most sustainable fabrics we can. Read our sustainability statement here.
Lastly, the “Ande” dress will be introduced in late Spring and take you through the Summer months as a wardrobe staple. The dress is a sleeveless style that will be available in a new cotton stripe and also the lovely organic cotton that was used as part of Rose’s Wardrobes Summer ‘19 collection. The “Ande” dress is based on a dress that Edna, one of Rose’s Wardrobes muses, is wearing - leading to the name the “Ande” (Edna spelt backwards!).

THE TEAM
Rose’s Wardrobe was founded by Emma and Leanne after both having over 12 years of experience between them working in high street, vintage inspired, and fashion supplier backgrounds. The inspiration from Rose’s Wardrobe derived from Emma and Leanne’s muses - their grandmas and great grandma - Patricia, Edna, and Rose. The aim is to produce replicas of the beautiful clothes their grandmas wore, using colours, styles and prints from the 1940’s through to the 1960’s. You can connect with Rose’s Wardrobe on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Have a look at where Rose’s Wardrobe will be here. Read our sustainability statement. Or, shop the collection.
