The Bonnie Headband for Burns Night
Grace Scott
The Bonnie Headband is the perfect accessory for Burns Night.
THE INSPIRATION
Our recently restocked Bonnie headband is the perfect accessory for Burns Night. The tartan fabric is a salute to our Scottish heritage. Rose’s Wardrobe is closely intertwined with our founders, Leanne and Emma’s, relatives, who serve as the inspiration behind the garments.
The Bonnie Headband is no different. Grandad Tam used to recite the poem to Granny Rosie - the namesake behind Rose’s Wardrobe - “A red, red rose” by Robert Burns. Robert Burns is widely regarded as the poet of Scotland. Burns Night celebrates Burns’ birthday on the 25th January each year. Haggis is the traditional course for the evening, and Burns’ famous “Address to a Haggis” is read before guests are allowed to dig in. A toast in celebration of Burns’ life and work is given - his “immortal memory” - and the evening concludes with singing “Auld Lang Syne”.
As an ode to their love and Rose’s Wardrobes Scottish heritage (read more about us here), the Bonnie headband in tartan was born.

THE TEAM
Rose’s Wardrobe was founded by Emma and Leanne after both having over 12 years of experience between them working in high street, vintage inspired, and fashion supplier backgrounds. The inspiration from Rose’s Wardrobe derived from Emma and Leanne’s muses - their grandmas and great grandma - Patricia, Edna, and Rose. The aim is to produce replicas of the beautiful clothes their grandmas wore, using colours, styles and prints from the 1940’s through to the 1960’s. You can connect with Rose’s Wardrobe on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Have a look at where Rose’s Wardrobe will be here. Read our sustainability statement. Or, shop the collection.
