The Perfect Vintage Inspired Summer Outfit - The Jean Blouse & Edina Skirt

THE ‘JEAN’ VINTAGE INSPIRED BLOUSE

The ‘Jean’ blouse has been inspired by Jean, a Grandmother of one of Rose’s Wardrobes friends, Rebecca. The image below shows Jean relaxing in the grass wearing a key hole detail blouse and cap sleeves. 

Rose’s Wardrobe wanted to recreate a true vintage summer staple, and so the Jean Blouse was lovingly created by hand in Scotland. The Jean vintage inspired blouse is made out of 100% cotton embroidery anglaise. The short cap sleeves, collar with picot trim, side splits at the hem, and key hole detail add extra interest to an otherwise wardrobe basic.

Rose’s Wardrobe grades patterns by sizes 8 - 22, but if you’re a different size you may get in touch at the time of order. Rose’s Wardrobe aims to be as inclusive and sustainable as possible, which you can read more about here.

THE ‘EDINA’ VINTAGE INSPIRED BUTTON FRONT SKIRT 

The ‘Edina’ vintage inspired button front skirt is the perfect pairing for the ‘Jean’ blouse, or is ideal to add to any other vintage piece in your wardrobe.  

The Edina vintage inspired skirt is another skirt named after one of Rose’s Wardrobes muses, Edna. The skirt is gathered at the waist with a working button front and side seam pockets. 

The style of the skirt is unlined, so the ‘Ginger’ tap pant in white would be a perfect pairing to wear underneath and prevent against any unwanted thigh chafe during the hotter months. 

The skirt is available in a blue and white cotton stripe or organic pink cotton.

All of Rose’s Wardrobe’s clothing is handmade in Scotland, including the Jean blouse and Edina skirt. Please allow up to 2 weeks for your blouse to be posted to you. Rose’s Wardrobe was founded by Emma and Leanne after both having over 12 years of experience between them working in high street, vintage inspired, and fashion supplier backgrounds. The inspiration from Rose’s Wardrobe derived from Emma and Leanne’s muses - their grandmas and great grandma - Patricia, Edna, and Rose.
