The Early Autumn collection from Rose’s Wardrobe is here!
Over the past few months, Rose’s Wardrobe has been working hard on the launch of the 2020 Early Autumn Collection. Take a look at the brand new sustainable, handmade in Scotland, vintage inspired Autumn 2020 collection below.
THE NEN SKIRT IN SALT AND PEPPER TWEED
Introducing the classic 'Nen' skirt back into the Wardrobe, one of our best selling Autumn 2019 styles. The Nen skirt also features in a Spring Herringbone, which you can still shop and read more about here.
Inspired by Rose's sister Helen, who was affectionately called Nen, this flattering 8 panel, 1940s style skirt features a flared hem to give a truly classic silhouette.
The Nen skirt is made from 100% wool with concealed zip fastening at the back and feature front pockets.
The beautiful burgundy, burnt orange and lilac colours in this salt and pepper fabric, designed and woven in Rose’s Wardrobes local Langholm, gives a lovely rich look in this classic shape.

THE ISABELLA KNIT
The perfect transitional piece from Summer to Autumn is the ‘Isabella’ knit. The first knitwear style in the Wardrobe is the ‘Isabella’ short sleeved Jumper.
This piece is produced just 30 minutes up the road from Rose’s Wardrobes base in Hawick, which is known for its high quality knitwear manufacturing.
Both Granny Rosie and Edna loved a short sleeved jumper, Isabella is Granny Rosie’s middle name so feels fitting to name it after her!

THE PATRICIA TROUSER
As well as the very first knit jumper, Rose’s Wardrobe is introducing the first trouser to the Wardrobe - the ‘Patricia' trouser.
Named after both Rose’s Wardrobe’s Leanne’s Mum and Rose’s Wardrobe’s Emma’s Nanna who are both Patricias. These timeless, vintage inspired trousers are made from 100% superfine wool with side concealed zip fastening and feature front pockets.
This beautiful soft grey herringbone fabric was designed in Langholm and produced by an ex mill of the town.

THE JEAN BLOUSE
The vintage inspired ‘Jean’ blouse is another classic added to Rose’s Wardrobe.
The vintage inspired blouse, Jean, features cute cap sleeves, a collar with a cotton picot trim and keyhole detailing to the front. The Jean blouse was inspired by the Grandmother of Rebecca (a friend of Rose's Wardrobe). It’s been made from 100% ivory organic cotton, and fastened with self-covered buttons.

THE TEAM
Rose’s Wardrobe was founded by Emma and Leanne after both having over 12 years of experience between them working in high street, vintage inspired, and fashion supplier backgrounds. The inspiration from Rose’s Wardrobe derived from Emma and Leanne’s muses - their grandmas and great grandma - Patricia, Edna, and Rose. The aim is to produce replicas of the beautiful clothes their grandmas wore, using colours, styles and prints from the 1940’s through to the 1960’s. You can connect with Rose’s Wardrobe on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Have a look at where Rose’s Wardrobe will be here. Read our sustainability statement. Or, shop the collection.
