ABOUT BOW & CROSSBONES

Bow & Crossbones is an independent UK company which grew from one woman offering her own handmade jewellery. Bow & Crossbones was created by Cam (pictured above) in June 2005. Frustrated with what was available on the high street, Cam began making the pieces she wanted to see. Her quirky & original accessories soon proved popular with other like-minded folks.

Bow & Crossbones has a long-time love of all things vintage, retro and kitsch, with a particular soft spot for Americana fashions. As such, the company has been taken into the hearts of vintage fans and pin-ups around the world. The company has grown and developed closely with its customers’ needs, responding to demand by launching it’s own website in 2008. 

Bow & Crossbones specialise in authentic vintage reproduction acrylic resin accessories. Their vintage-inspired collection features reproductions of original pieces which evoke the true atomic era of Lucite jewellery. Opulent yet lightweight and perfectly formed!

THE ELSIE RANGE

Based on vintage designs for that authentic look, the Bow & Crossbones fabulous carved fakelite Elsie bangle and hoops are a popular choice of accessory for the vintage inspired outfit. Both are available in burnt orange, ivory, chartreuse, dusty blue shop the bangles and hoops.

Pictured above is the Limited Edition 1950s Palm print, which goes beautifully with the burnt orange, chartreuse and Ivory, and the dusty blue matches the stripe in the Pastel stripe to perfection! The Pastel stripe is available in our ‘Pat’ short, ‘Rosie’ skirt and ‘Lily’ blouse.

THE LENA STYLE IN MELON

Inspired by the castable Bakelite jewellery of the 1930's & 1940's - Bow & Crossbones Lena Hex in Melon is a new style for 2021! These fabulous hexagonal carved fakelite bangles are available in 3 sizes with matching earrings here at Rose’s Wardrobe.

The melon colour looks like it was made to match the coral in the new tile print. Emma is here (pictured) wearing Rose’s Wardrobes new ‘Eda’ dress, a square necked, 1950s style dress with a matching fabric belt and vintage buckle.

HAZEL STYLE IN PECAN & TORTIE

The Hazel Carved Fakelite Bangle - Inspired by Bow & Crossbones creator Cam's collection of bakelite. She had the original bangle but not the matching earrings, so she designed the bangle for everyone to enjoy and made the earrings to match.

These fabulous colours look stunning with the Sizzle coloured Hemp/organic fabric that has been sourced for the new Rose’s Wardrobe collection. This fabric is available in a range of styles including the new ‘Josie’ dress and ‘Edina’ skirt.

LUCIE BANGLE & MONROE HOOPS

The Monroe earrings are a great vintage inspired accessory staple available in gold and silver, they will finish off your outfit perfectly. So versatile they can go with a casual or more glamorous outfits!

We could have a Summer jewellery collection without a sunny yellow bangle. The Lucie Starburst is Bow & Crossbones gorgeous carved fakelite resin bangle. Featuring a starburst pattern inspired by the atomic movement giving a nod the vintage love of the space age.

SIZE GUIDE FOR BANGLES

As this is Rose’s Wardrobes first order with Bow & Crossbones, a small size range has been ordered. As inclusivity is a core value of Rose’s Wardrobe, the sizes that are stocked on the website are princess, queenie and goddess. This will hopefully be expanded in the future.
