Get Ready for Our Autumn Collection - PART 1!

Emma Duncan

Our autumn collection drops at 6pm on Friday the 27th of August! Read on for a rundown of the new range, featuring two new garments and four new fabrics.

THE INSPIRATION

This season, we found inspiration in classic 1940s clothing; tailored trousers, wool skirts and checks galore! It’s a continuation of our signature vintage style, influenced by our muses and the stars of the silver screen.

THE NEW STYLES

As the weather gets cooler, we’re introducing a line-up of beautifully tailored separates, cosy, sustainable dresses and reintroducing our classic blouses. We’re launching two new styles and bringing back some familiar favourites including the ‘Rosie’ skirt and the ‘Patricia’ trouser.

THE ‘POLLY’ WAISTCOAT

Introducing the ‘Polly’ waistcoat, highly requested by our customers and inspired by sharp 1940s tailoring. If that wasn’t exciting enough, it even has pockets! As Emma demonstrates here, it looks lovely paired with the ‘Lillias’ blouse and a matching ‘Rosie’ skirt.

THE ‘ELLA’ DRESS

We’ve also added a brand new wrap dress named Ella – it’s super feminine and ultra-flattering. This dress comes in our new Ramie fabric but feel free to mix it up! Just fill in our bespoke order form to request a different fabric.

THE FABRICS

We’ve sourced four new fabrics for this collection and brought back the gorgeous burnt orange organic cotton and hemp from summer. A lot of time has gone into selecting the best quality fabrics with the lowest environmental impact possible; three cosy wools and a cool blue Ramie.

This is our first time using Ramie, which is a natural fibre with a similar feel to linen. It’s a great environmentally friendly option and holds folds beautifully.

The dark blue wool is a retro deadstock, made right here in Langholm! We love sourcing locally made fabrics, knowing that we’re giving new life to the town’s history.

The other fabrics are also deadstock and are limited, so set your alarms for 6pm on the 27th to get your orders in or sign up to our newsletter for a passcode giving you 30 minute early access!

THE TEAM

Rose’s Wardrobe was founded by Emma and Leanne after both having over 12 years of experience between them working in high street, vintage inspired, and fashion supplier backgrounds. The inspiration from Rose’s Wardrobe derived from Emma and Leanne’s muses - their grandmas and great grandma - Patricia, Edna, and Rose. The aim is to produce replicas of the beautiful clothes their grandmas wore, using colours, styles and prints from the 1940’s through to the 1960’s. You can connect with Rose’s Wardrobe on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Have a look at where Rose’s Wardrobe will be here. Read our sustainability statement. Or, shop the collection
