1940s and 50s fashion: The team's favourite pieces from our Pre-Spring collection

This drop might just be our best yet! Read on to browse the Rose's Wardrobe team's top picks.

Anna's pick: the 'Dot' dungarees

This is definitely my favourite style, especially since it's inspired by my Great Grandma! It's brand new for 2022, but we have been getting requests for dungarees for a long time now.

The dungarees were also really fun to design and pattern cut because they have so many little details you might not notice at first - like the side buttons, the front pocket details and all of the topstitching.

The 'Dot' dungarees are available to order now in organic cotton twill. Each of our items are made to order and can be made to custom measurements at no extra cost.

Leanne's pick: the 'Patricia' trousers in Grey Check

The 'Patricia' trousers are a classic, so easy to wear and style. I feel a bit more dressed up whenever I put mine on!
The Grey Check goes with everything in my wardrobe and I love the wee bits of blue and burnt orange hidden in the check.

The 'Patricia' trousers' are available to order now in Grey Check and our new Taupe Wool Twill. Each of our items are made to order and can be made to custom measurements at no extra cost.

Emma's pick: the 'Bunty' blouse in Vintage Ditsy Floral

I saw a 1940s blouse pattern with a similar scalloped collar and gathered panels and just knew I had to recreate it, so the 'Bunty' blouse was born!
Our new Vintage Ditsy Floral fabric is my favourite from pre-spring, I wish we had more of it. We can make the 'Bunty' in this fabric up to a size 16, but don't worry, have have some beautiful alternatives for other sizes.

The 'Bunty' blouse is available to order now in your choice of three spring fabrics. Each of our items are made to order and can be made to custom measurements at no extra cost.

Rose’s Wardrobe was founded by Emma and Leanne after both having over 12 years of experience between them working in high street, vintage inspired, and fashion supplier backgrounds. The inspiration from Rose’s Wardrobe derived from Emma and Leanne’s muses - their grandmas and great grandma - Patricia, Edna, and Rose. The aim is to produce replicas of the beautiful clothes their grandmas wore, using colours, styles and prints from the 1940’s through to the 1960’s. Anna joined our team this year as our brand assistant. She is a recent fashion graduate and helps out with everything from social media to sewing.
